Crumbling Plaster
Copyright 2000 Julie Loyd
you can call this place home
you can hang your pictures on the wall
but plaster crumbles too fast to trust
and when you plan on leaving
it doesn't matter much
chorus:
i am a gypsy
stuck behind crumbling plastered walls
i can't wait
to watch them fall
i'll put on my running shoes
if you promise we won't be running in circles
i have a feeling that if we leave
you'll want to end up back here
chorus
let me light your cigarette
we can take a break together
the one thing I always seem to have is fire
i like to let it out once in a while
hey, while we're out here
would you mind turning a blind eye
would you mind if i ran away with the sun
he may be back tomorrow
but I'll be gone
chorus
you can call this place home
you can hang your pictures on the wall
but plaster crumbles too fast to trust
and when you plan on leaving
it doesn't matter much
